Weekly Sports Round Up – 10.01.20

U10 Netball v Bromsgrove and King’s Hawford

It was great to get all the Year 5 girls out playing netball on the first Wednesday of the term. They played in a triangular fixture with Bromsgrove and Hawford. The girls were a little slow off the mark but as the afternoon proceeded it was great to see the progress they made. It was a great opportunity to identify their strengths and weaknesses which we need to work on.

Well done to our new girls who played their first netball match for school, especially Melissa as it was only her second day at KSA. All the girls did very well and appeared to enjoy the afternoon.

On Friday we will be working on treasuring the ball and not giving it away under pressure.

U11 A & B Netball v Bromsgrove and King’s Hawford

On Wednesday this week the U11 netballers had their first matches of the season. We played a triangular against King’s Hawford and Bromsgrove. This is an annual fixture right at the beginning of the season which is extremely useful for getting them playing again. The girls were a little rusty to start with however, once they started they eased into it and worked hard to keep possession of the ball. There were some noticeable performances from Ava and Martha in the A team and Grace was a force in the circle in the B team with some super interceptions. The girls will be working on their passing and movement around the court over the coming weeks.
