Worcester Evensong 2019

On Tuesday our Chamber Choir joined with the Fourth Form Choir to sing Evensong in Worcester Cathedral. This was the first collaboration between the two choirs, and we hope it will be the first of many. The children have worked hard during the Spring Term to prepare for this service and tackled some demanding repertoire with enthusiasm and determination.  The congregation enjoyed listening to Dyson in C minor and Rutter’s uplifting anthem Christ the Lord is risen again as well as a psalm and responses. For many of the children this was a first taste of the work our choristers undertake on an almost daily basis and they were full of renewed respect for them when they realised that after a long rehearsal and a service they would then have to go home and complete their homework! This was a wonderful occasion and was clearly enjoyed by everyone. Congratulations to all the children involved. You have made your parents and teachers very proud!
