Due to COVID-19 and lockdown, the annual trip to Malvern Boundless Outdoors was postponed until September 2020, when our children returned as Year 4 pupils.
Although the annual trip couldn’t be run as a residential, overnight trip, our children still had a brilliant time! Thanks to the site’s close proximity to King’s Hawford, we were able to enjoy three fun-filled days in the outdoors.
The trip was the perfect opportunity for the children and staff to get to know each other, with activities ranging from team building and problem solving, to walks in the ‘wild woods’ next to the centre and up to the Worcestershire Beacon to admire its stunning views, as well as having a taste of some bushcraft activities.
We were blessed with some beautiful autumn weather and created some fantastic memories to start the year!
School trips and educational visits are so important here at King’s Hawford as it allows our pupils to extend their horizons and apply their learning in a totally different environment. Learning outside of the classroom in this way strengthens our academic provision and also gives our pupils a new sense of belonging as they enjoy memorable experiences with other pupils and staff.
