Year 6 Try Their Hands at Archery

It was an absolute treat this week to take the Year 6 boys and girls to the sports fields on a beautifully sunny afternoon for a games session with a difference – archery!  Encouraging children to try something new is a key principle at King’s St Alban’s, and sport is certainly no exception. The children listened intently to all of the coaching points and it didn’t take long for them to get the hang of it. It was lovely to take a step back and see all of the children thoroughly enjoying themselves (and possibly being a little competitive!) as they practised the new techniques they had learned.

Well done to the winning archery team – Luca S, Sazan M, Sam K, Oscar S and Angus G.

Also a massive shout out to Evie P, Willoughby N and Benedict R who achieved some very impressive scores and got an impressive number of bullseyes!
