Foundation Gathers at Worcester Cathedral for Summer Term Service
Pupils and staff across our Foundation came together in the magnificent surroundings of Worcester Cathedral to mark the start of the Summer Term.
The assembly featured a beautiful performance by the King’s Hawford senior choir, while the senior school orchestra provided moving accompaniments to the congregational hymns.
The service included readings and prayers from Heads of School from across the Foundation; the newly appointed Summer Term Heads of School for King’s Hawford and King’s St Alban’s were especially impressive, as the Year 6 children spoke confidently in front of the large congregation in their first official duty.
During the service, Mr Charles reflected on the theme of new beginnings and the hope they bring, reminding us that true progress is built on learning from the past. Every term is shaped by the effort, growth, and care that have come before.
“As we start this term, let us step forward with hope. Work hard with curiosity. Play hard with confidence. Look after each other with care- because when we do, new beginnings can lead somewhere truly amazing.”
