Foundation Assembly Marks the Start of Academic Year

On Tuesday, all three schools from across the King’s Foundation joined together in Worcester Cathedral to mark the start of the new academic year.

The start of term Foundation Cathedral Service is always a special occasion that brings the entire Foundation community together. The service was a meaningful way to begin the new academic term, with the Foundation warmly welcomed and addressed by our new Head of Foundation, Mr. Charles.

Mr Charles spoke to pupils about the importance of playing hard, working hard and looking after each other. He talked about how every single person within our community matters, regardless of talents, roles, or personalities, and that we are united by a shared purpose.

Contributions to the service were made by student leaders from across the three schools. The Heads of School from King’s St Alban’s, King’s Hawford and King’s Worcester, delivered readings and prayers, while the School Choir, Lower Years Choir and Choristers also performed during the service.

It was a wonderful opportunity to come together as one Foundation, marking the start of the term with shared purpose and community spirit.
