Sixth Form Business Trips to Cotswold Collections
In the first two weeks of October, all 32 of our Upper Sixth Business students visited Cotswold Collections.
This Cheltenham-based clothing company are celebrating their 30th anniversary next year. Over the last three decades, Cotswold Collections have built up a loyal customer base, carving out a niche for themselves at the higher end of the clothing market targeted at the mature female.
Our pupils were invited into the Boardroom to hear first-hand from Managing Director, Jane Cheesman, and Finance Director, Tom Brown, about the strategies employed by the business which have enabled them to grow in the UK and also, more recently, in the United States. They also saw the design, customer service and warehousing operations in action.
The King’s Business Department is very grateful to Tom, Jane and the whole team at Cotswold Collections for giving up their precious time for us. The experience has given our students a great opportunity to build their understanding of the huge challenges, and also the excitement, of life in the real business world.
