Constable OV!

Congratulations to OV William Duckworth (K 08-13), who recently qualified as a Police Officer in Cheshire Constabulary. He kindly shared what inspired this career journey:

“I had always wanted to join the Army as an officer; however this was becoming a struggle and I just couldn’t find another job that I wanted to do. I then was lucky enough to get a job as an Intelligence Officer with Merseyside Police. This gave me a great insight into the world of frontline policing and what the job entails, from there I had made up my mind.

“I joined Cheshire Constabulary and currently work out of Runcorn as a response officer, which gives me the opportunity to help people when they need it most, arrest the worst of society and drive around on blue lights at 120mph.

“I have only been in the job for a few months and I’m still finding my feet, but I absolutely love it.”
