Netball Bee England Tournament

U10 v Warwick Prep School

A combined team from King’s Hawford and KSA delivered an outstanding performance at the Netball Bee England Tournament held at Warwick, competing with energy, skill, and determination throughout the day.

The girls played a total of seven matches, all at a fast pace and with a high standard of play. They recorded several impressive victories, including big wins against Warwick Prep, Beachborough Prep, Bluecoat School, and Spratton Hall. Each match showcased the team’s athleticism, commitment, and growing cohesion as a combined squad.

In attack, Amelie and Eleanor were exceptional, scoring a series of excellent goals under pressure and converting key opportunities that helped secure crucial wins. At the defensive end, Maddie and Aria were formidable, producing excellent defending that disrupted opposition attacks and created numerous turnovers.

The centre court was expertly controlled and dominated by Elise and Vivienne, whose vision, movement, and decision-making set the tempo of the game. This was complemented by excellent wing play from Imogen, who worked tirelessly to link defence and attack and provide vital support across the court.

The team finished with a well-deserved bronze medal, with the top three teams separated by just a three-goal difference – highlighting the extremely competitive nature of the tournament. It was a superb achievement and a testament to the girls’ hard work and teamwork.

Overall, it was a super tournament, made even more special by the fantastic support from family and friends throughout the morning. A performance to be very proud of from everyone involved.

U11 v Warwick Prep School

The U11 combined netball team for KSA and King’s Hawford delivered a determined performance at the recent U11 netball tournament hosted by Warwick prep School. They faced a challenging line-up of strong schools including Heath Mount, Solihull Prep, Warwick Prep, King Henry’s, Bromsgrove, and The Croft.

Across the morning, the girls played the first 5 of 10 matches in a tough opening group. They qualified into the b final where they played a further 5 matches. They gained valuable experience during the group stages that enabled them to successfully draw against a school they had lost 6-1 to in the opening round, a superb turn of events. They finished with 3 wins, 2 draws, and 5 losses, a record that reflects both their resilience and ability to compete in a very tough group.

In attack, we worked tirelessly, producing moments of excellent shooting under pressure and converting key opportunities that kept the team competitive throughout the tournament. Their movement and communication continue to strengthen with every game.

Defensively, their interceptions, tight marking, and ability to disrupt attacking play made a noticeable impact, often shifting the momentum of the game and giving the team renewed energy.

In centre-court unit, we demonstrated superb vision, movement, and control. They transitioned the ball effectively up the court and provided much‑needed stability across the court.

Well done to Rosie, Ariana, Florrie, Jasmine, Charlotte, Nell, Thea, Romi, Martha and Hannah for their never-ending determination and resilience when asked to change positions. Despite the tough opposition, the team showed excellent teamwork, improvement, and resilience in every match. The girls should be very proud of their efforts

A huge thank you goes to all spectators who came to support on such a cold morning.
