From King’s Stage to Italia Conti
It was great to see OV Elijah Broadbent (Br 17-24) when he popped into King’s see the Drama Department and catch up with Music teachers, including his former singing teacher, Sarah Stone, and fill them in on his journey since leaving School last year.
Elijah was originally planning to study musical composition at BIMM when he left King’s. However, after being cast in the lead role of Ren in “Footloose” last year (ironically both his first and last King’s show), Elijah realised his heart really belonged on a theatrical stage. He has spent the last year honing his skills on a foundation course at SOTE (School of Theatre Excellence in Birmingham). He has just won a much-coveted place at Drama School and starts at Italia Conti on their Acting: Musical Theatre degree course in September. Elijah is seen here with King’s Drama teacher, and Footloose director, Lauren Slater-Klein.
West End here we come!
