Henley Honour for OV

Congratulations to OV Peter Knowles (Ch 68-73) and his wife Helen, who, during the 180th anniversary celebrations at Henley Rowing Club, were honoured by having boats named after them to celebrate their services to the sport.

Peter and Helen have been members of Henley Rowing Club for over 25 years and have been involved with rowing events and in particular Henley Open Events. Peter is currently Chair and Helen is Secretary of the sub-committee that runs Henley Sculls in the autumn and Henley Fours & Eights in the spring.

Speaking of the famous Henley Royal Regatta, Peter said; “We enjoy seeing KSWBC there to row on, perhaps, the most famous stretch of river in the UK, if not the world!”

Peter is incredibly involved in the rowing world and competed at the Henley Masters earlier this year. He will be going to Tokyo for the Olympics next year to produce television coverage from the regatta.
