King’s Announced as Finalists in Prestigious School Awards
Two of the King’s Worcester Schools, King’s Worcester Senior School and King’s Hawford have been named among some of the leading independent schools in the country for both co-educational and prep school education.
The schools have reached the final of the Independent School of the Year Awards 2022. These highly regarded annual awards, which received over 1000 entries from UK independent schools, are designed to showcase independent school success stories and celebrate the extraordinary student experience provided during 2021 and 2022.
All three of the King’s Schools, including King’s St Alban’s Prep School, were shortlisted back in July for a total of five Awards, and we were thrilled to hear that two of the King’s Schools have now been named as Finalists, in the Independent Prep School of the Year and Co-education Independent School of the Year categories.
The finalist news is another fantastic achievement for King’s Worcester, alongside this year’s recognition in The Sunday Times Top 10 West Midlands Independent Secondary School league.
Gareth Doodes, Headmaster at King’s Worcester and CEO of the Foundation, said, “We were thrilled that all three schools have been shortlisted in many categories this year and also to recently hear that we have been chosen as finalists in two categories for King’s Hawford and our Senior School, King’s Worcester.
“There are some incredible schools in the finals, and we are honoured that our inspiring and well-rounded provision has led us to be in the final selection. It is a great acknowledgement that our schools, staff and pupils have been recognized at a national level for our co-educational provision and our forward-thinking approach to prep school education.”
Award winners will be announced at a ceremony next month.
