King’s Day 2025 Marks the End of an Incredible Year
King’s Day 2025, the school’s traditional end of year celebration, took place in glorious summer sunshine yesterday.
The traditional end to the academic year bids a fond farewell to our Upper Sixth leavers, as well as celebrating their achievements during their time at King’s.
Pupils, families, OVs and staff came together in the magnificent Worcester Cathedral for the King’s Day service. The congregation listened to several stunning musical performances, as well as speeches from staff and our Heads of School, reflecting the many wonderful achievements since September.
Following the service, students passed through the doors of College Hall for one final time, where they were met by applauding staff and parents, and the sounds of the glorious Worcester Cathedral bells ringing in their honour.
Everyone then came together in the school gardens for a wonderful lunch and drinks reception, where families and staff were able to share special memories of their time at King’s.
Each year, King’s Day is host to some exciting events, and this year was no exception. An outstanding A Level art exhibition, the annual 1st and 2nd Cricket team vs OV team fixture on the playing fields and the King’s Boat Club Regatta on the River Severn all drew large audiences, testament to the strength and warmth of the King’s community.
We wish all our 2025 leavers the very best wishes for their next chapter. While this may be their last day as a King’s student, they will always remain a valued part of our community.
