Upper Sixth Celebrate Leavers’ Day

King’s Upper Sixth students celebrated their traditional King’s Leavers’ Day last Friday – an event that all students look forward to throughout their time at the school.

There were some brilliant costumes from all the students, who enjoyed a day of celebration in the sunshine with their peers, rounded off with a BBQ in the School Gardens with their teachers and staff.

The students also enjoyed breakfast in their Houses, a video presentation filled with heartfelt goodbyes and memories from teachers and Heads of School, and fascinating performance from a hypnotist.

In her final farewell to the students, Dr Oliver, Acting Head, thanked them for their outstanding contribution to King’s, and shared the poignant poem, ‘Epilogue’, by Oliver Tearle.

Many of our Upper Sixth leavers joined King’s at the start of King’s St Alban’s or King’s Hawford, which would equate to an incredible 2,400 days in school! But while their King’s journey is coming to an end, their OV future is just beginning.

We wish the Class of 2025 every success in the next chapter and look forward to officially celebrating their departure from King’s at King’s Day later this term.
