Transport to King’s Worcester is straightforward, as the city is well connected by multiple road networks, has two train stations, and many daily coaches covering a wide radius and fitting in with the school day.

The King’s School Minibus/Coach Services

We offer our own Minibus/coach services to make it as easy as possible for parents and pupils (from Year 3+) to travel to school which are fulfilled by King’s minibuses and driven by King’s employed minibus drivers, our partnered Taxi company Severn Taxis, or our partnered coach company, Commandery Coaches. All vehicles will be driven by a network of qualified and DBS checked drivers.

We regularly review our transport provision and as such if we do not offer a route or location collection point you require, please still do get in touch to discuss this further.  For more information on our pricing structure, please contact Will Bird via transport@ksw.org.uk

StudentSafe

For 2023/24 we have introduction of our partnership with StudentSafe – a downloadable StudentSafe App that will allow parents and guardians to:

–       access real time tracking of bus services

–       receive real time verification that children have boarded and alighted the bus at their stops

–       receive real time notifications of delays and incidents

–       amend (cancel) booking details for the next journey

–       use the self-booking calendar for booking or cancelling additional ad-hoc services should the need arise (subject to seat availability)

Our shared vision with StudentSafe, is for a safer, better connected, and greener transport service and we really hope that these parent-focused solutions will encourage more parents to use the service.

On top of the safeguarding benefits that the StudentSafe system will provide, an increase in uptake of the service will also help to substantially reduce car emissions on the School Run across the King’s community.

The system is now open for bookings for 2023/24.    *Excluding Hawford Shuttle – More info on this can be found below.
