King’s Success at UK Linguistics Olympiad

King’s is celebrating after receiving its first ever award at the prestigious UK Linguistics Olympiad (UKLO).

Lower Sixth Latin students, Toby A, Anna G and Sam C, participated in the advanced level of the UKLO in February.

Each of the students battled their wits against the tricky questions with great skill, with all three performing extremely well. Particular congratulations going to Sam C, who was presented with a silver award.

The UK Linguistics Olympiad is a fun but challenging competition to encourage a lifelong interest in the world’s languages. Students around the UK compete to solve problems based on some of the world’s 7,000 languages, using their analytical skills and logic to crack linguistic codes and solve puzzles.
