OV Alex Ward Wins Gold Again

It was wonderful to learn that OV Alex Ward (Cl 13-20) has once again struck gold with her Loughborough University Netball team!

In a great repeat of last year’s success, the team won the BUCS Gold final against Birmingham University, and also won their league, so will be promoted for the second time within two seasons.

A delighted Alex said, “For the second year running my BUCS team at Loughborough have managed to win the BUCS Midlands Conference Cup Final, beating a team in the league above us. This is a massive achievement for the team and for Loughborough Sport. It means so much to me, as all the hard training has paid off. For the second year we also won the league, so have been promoted again. This has never happened before in Loughborough Netball and I’m so proud to be part of it.”
