OV Kaushik’s Careers Advice
It was lovely to see OV Kaushik Rai (Br 09-16) back at King’s earlier this month. He was in school to speak with pupils from Upper Remove to Upper Sixth as part of the school’s Careers Lunchtime Talk programme.
Kaushik talked about his time in the Civil Service, including roles focused on domestic affairs, his work as a diplomat at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, involvement with EU policy, and contributions to economic policy. He also explained how studying History for his degree and pursuing a Masters in Political Thought and Intellectual History influenced his career decisions.
The Careers Lunchtime Talks are optional, and Kaushik’s proved incredibly popular, especially for those studying History and/or Economics, with the attendees benefitting greatly from his experience, openness, and time.
We wish Kaushik all the best for the next stage of his career, which includes a move overseas, with many thanks for his time speaking with current King’s pupils.
