OV Opera Appearance to cheer weary souls

If you are looking for something to beat the self-isolation blues then why not have a look here at Opera News’ ’10 Essential Eugene Onegin Clips (To Enjoy at Home)’ online feature this week which includes a mention for OV Jonathan Nott (Br 71-81) at number 8! In this clip, Jonathan is conducting a scene from Tchaikowsky’s Eugene Onegin with soprano Asmik Grigorian and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. The story of Eugene Onegin is about a selfish hero who regrets his blasé rejection of a young woman’s love and his careless incitement of a fatal duel with his best friend. It is based on a novel in verse by Alexander Pushkin. Jonathan is Music and Artistic Director for Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, a role he has enjoyed since January 2017.

It is a thrilling listen!
