OV puts Herefordshire on the Culinary Map

It was great to hear from OV Lilla Croysdale (nee Barnes, Co 90-92) recently. Having spent many years overseas, including time in Africa and Canada, Lilla returned to the UK to focus on both family and her career as a chef and entrepreneur.

Now based in Herefordshire, Lilla has established a reputation as an innovative and highly regarded chef and one of the few UK-based chefs who specialise in Ayurvedic cooking, which originated in the Indian subcontinent and focuses on health and well-being via a specialist diet.

This specialism has led to Lilla being sought after by celebrities, Members of Parliament, and wellness experts.

Closer to home, Lilla has recently taken on the role of Head Chef at Brinsop Court, Herefordshire, which, since her appointment, has been voted the number one wedding venue in the UK by Hitched magazine.

Commenting on her career, Lilla added, “My time at King’s gave me the resilience and confidence to keep pushing myself and my career, particularly in the very male-dominated world of fine dining. I’m looking forward to taking Brinsop onwards to achieve greater accolades where the food takes centre stage!”
