OV’s Feature in the Tempest

Last week, Worcester was treated to a wonderful production of The Tempest and cast member and OV Tom Riddell (Cr 02-09) has sent us this report…

“I’ve had a wonderful couple of weeks rehearsing and performing in The Tempest with Worcester Rep. Having only a week to rehearse any play, let alone something as dense as Shakespeare, was a bit daunting, but with a fantastic cast, in the reliable hands of director Ben Humphrey (Cr 93-04), who also plays Stephano, it all came together remarkably quickly. Ben taught me A-level drama at King’s so it’s always great working with him.

I play Ferdinand, a prince who finds himself stranded on a strange island following the wreck of his ship, having seen his father and the rest of the crew perish. He meets and promptly falls in love with, Miranda, whose father is having none of it…

Huntingdon Hall is a wonderful venue and it’s been very exciting seeing it become a stunning theatrical space. We’ve had great reviews and great audiences, and it’s not long now till panto!”
