Returning for a Row on the River
We were delighted to hear from octogenarian OV David Clark (Cl 50-56), who wished to visit the King’s School Worcester Boat Club; we were very happy to oblige! A tentative rower while at King’s, David had taken to the sport later in life, becoming a rowing coach for his local club, Ardingly. Having retired from the club, David was keen to cast his experienced eye over the current King’s crews.
A stroke of luck meant that the river levels, which had been high, had dropped and were safe for the King’s senior rowers, so David headed to the river to observe the two quad crews on the water for the afternoon.
David was very impressed with the senior rowers who were being put through their paces, and had a great time!
If you would like to return to School for a visit, please do get in touch with us at alumni@ksw.org.uk
