Year 3 Residential Adventure at Oaker Wood
Year 3 have returned from a truly fantastic two-day residential trip to Oaker Wood, filled with adventure, teamwork, and memorable experiences.
After arriving and settling in, the pupils quickly immersed themselves in a range of team games, developing their communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. One of the highlights of the first day was making their own pizzas for lunch, with some delicious creations enjoyed by all.
Across the two days, the children took part in a wide variety of exciting outdoor activities. From capture the flag in the woods and low ropes challenges to the thrill of the high ropes and zip wire, they showed great courage, determination, and support for one another. There was also plenty of time to explore and enjoy the woodland environment, making the most of the sunshine.
Evenings were just as special, with a campfire where everyone enjoyed toasting marshmallows and relaxing together, followed by a well-earned fish and chips supper.
We are incredibly proud of Year 3 for their enthusiasm, resilience, and excellent behaviour throughout the trip. It was a wonderful experience and a fantastic opportunity for the children to grow in confidence and independence.
