OV is Miss Worcestershire 2024
Congratulations to OV Elinor Edwards (Ca 13-21) who has been selected as Miss Worcestershire, representing the county in the Miss Great Britain National Final in October. Miss Great Britain is the longest-running pageant in the UK and the preliminary to Miss World.

Elinor explained further, “I decided to enter this pageant because I think it’ll be a great experience, with lots of opportunities to meet different people, and hopefully give me material for my stand-up comedy routines! Another incentive to enter was that the pageant raises money for two great causes: Cancer Research and Alex’s Wish Cure Duchenne. This element adds importance and I’m glad to be able to raise money for these charities.”
Contestants for Miss Great Britain can also choose a personal charity, and Elinor will be raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society. Elinor added, “I chose this charity for two reasons: the time I have spent working in a Dementia Care Home, and because my dissertation for my Neuroscience degree at the University of Bristol reviews improving Alzheimer’s models for the development of drugs. I therefore understand how important it is for further research into the disease and support for those suffering from dementia and their families.”
The next stage is to compete in the Miss Great Britain competition in October, and then we hope to see Elinor in the Miss World line-up.
