England U19 Selection for King’s Sixth Former, Bryony
The King’s Worcester, Foundation is delighted to congratulate Upper Sixth pupil Bryony Gillgrass on her selection for the England Women’s U19 squad ahead of a prestigious tri-series in Australia this spring.
Bryony, who represents Worcestershire Women’s Rapids, has been named in a 16-strong touring party that will face Australia and Sri Lanka in a series of 50-over and T20 fixtures, providing invaluable international experience against top-class opposition.
The call-up follows an outstanding 2025 season in Rapids colours, during which Bryony established herself as one of the country’s most promising young all-rounders, impressing with both bat and ball. Earlier this year, she was also part of the England U19 touring party to India, further underlining her rapid progression at national level.
While en route to Australia, Bryony commented:
“I’m over the moon to be given this opportunity to be included in the England U19 touring squad in Australia. To train and play with some of the country’s finest cricketers is a dream come true.”
Balancing elite cricket with her A-level studies at King’s Worcester, Old Hawfordian Bryony continues to exemplify commitment, resilience and excellence both on and off the field. The entire King’s community wishes her every success as she represents England on the international stage.
