Lockdown 3 prompts OV to turn YouTuber

With the UK still in the midst of Lockdown 3 many of us are looking for ways to keep busy and safe in these unsettling times. It was great to hear that Will Buxton (OV 90-94) has started a weekly YouTube motorsport news update to keep fans updated through the winter with the first two episodes hitting a million watch minutes in just the first 10 days.

Will says, “Essentially I started the series for a few reasons. The first was to give racing fans a quick one stop shop for the week’s news. It leans towards F1 in the majority as that’s my field, but I try to hit as many global championships as I can within a 20-minute window.

The other purpose was to get me out of the house and then when I’m back in the house to give me the opportunity to learn how to use professional editing software. I’m usually in front of the camera, so it’s been a quick learning curve in terms of self-filming, self-producing and self-editing.

It’s been a really positive pick-up and a good way to keep fans in the loop and keep me busy until the new series 3 of F1 Drive to Survive hits Netflix late Feb / early March.”
