OV David Ball’s (W 77-79) creative agency, Brandfuel, has been honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade.
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is one of Britain’s most coveted business awards. For over fifty years, they have been recognising outstanding performance by British companies in the fields of innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility. Brandfuel received this award for International Trade and it is a huge testament to the whole team for a really consistent four years of growth for the company and specifically in their overseas trade, which currently accounts for almost 80% of their turnover.
David founded the company in 2005 and it has gone from strength to strength, growing from the Head Office in London to encompass offices in New York, Dublin and Singapore. Brandfuel specialises in the design, strategy, planning and delivery of online virtual events and broadcasts, conferences, exhibitions, experiential activations and brand consultancy. From their strategically located offices, David’s teams deliver events worldwide for brands such as Google, Android, YouTube, Aramco, BlackRock, Slack, and Barclays.
David added, “It’s been a hugely challenging year for the agency, but the staff have met these challenges head-on with great resilience and this is a fantastic reward and testimony to their skill, fortitude and resilience in these difficult times. We are all absolutely delighted to be the recipients of such a prestigious award.”
After his time at King’s Worcester, David went on to study Music at Leeds University. David is also Co-Founder & Advisor of charity SOS (Stories On the Street), which enables life-changing opportunities for people in crisis, by providing a matchmaking service between people who need help and people who want to give help.
Our congratulations to David and the Brandfuel team for excelling in such challenging times and getting the recognition they richly deserve.
