OV nominated for Best Director Pantomime Award

Many congratulations to OV Ben Humphrey (Cr 93-04) who has been nominated for Best Director in The Great British Pantomime Awards! The awards celebrate the best talent in Pantomime land and now in their third year they continue to recognise those who have significantly contributed to this British institution. Ben directed the Pantomime and also performed as the infamous Dame Ginny in the Swan Theatre, Worcester’s 2019-20 production of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’.  Ben is Artistic Director of the Worcester Rep and in July he will be appearing in ‘Sherlock Holmes Rides Again’ in the Commandery Gardens in July 2020. Nominated for the award alongside four other Directors, he told us “I’m thrilled to have been received a nomination for Best Director from the Great British Pantomime Awards. It’s my first national award nomination and to be judged against theatres such as the London Palladium, Bristol Hippodrome, Theatre Royal Bath, and other major UK theatres is quite surreal. Both Alice (Hon OV) and I are looking forward to the awards ceremony in London at the end of April.”

We wish Ben the very best of luck.
