OV Young Entrepreneur making his mark

Great to see OV James Graham (Os 10-17) making his mark by featuring in not one but two magazines lately!

James only left King’s 3 years ago but with his strong entrepreneurial spirit has already built up two companies and is also a local army reservist. It was fascinating to read about James’s experiences and especially to find out that when he was just 15 he was awarded a bravery award from Princess Alexandra.

James says, “I was over the moon to be asked to feature in ’YourHerefordshire’, Herefordshire’s leading news provider as a young local entrepreneur and ‘ Business Works’ magazine as Market Disrupter for the recognition of my companies ODOS Properties (Estate Agency) and Montrose Conveyancing (Property Law Firm).

Since leaving King’s the plunge into Business, Property and Law has been a steep learning curve, in particular this year has thrown many hurdles and opportunities for my businesses. Both of my companies are technology focused therefore we were luckily well-prepared for the “work from home” period that Covid-19 enforced upon us, we even saw website click rates, and sales rocket over the past few months.

For me (like many other business owners) it was a very worrying time. You have to worry about the worst case scenarios with regards to cash flows and redundancies, especially when members of staff have mortgages, children and other financial commitments, but our wonderful staff are getting through it and we are thriving! We have just taken on another full-time legal assistant and we are recruiting for 5 more ODOS Estate Agents around the country.”

James’ feature in Business Works can be read online here (page 37) and his appearance in YourHerefordshire can be read here.
