New Chapter: A Message from our Head of Foundation

Every September carries with it a sense of possibility. For pupils, it means new friendships to forge, fresh challenges to meet, and opportunities that will shape the year ahead. This year, I share that same sense of anticipation, as I begin my own journey at King’s Worcester.

Taking up a new role is never a decision made lightly. Leaving Rochester – a place and community I valued deeply – was a significant step for me and my family. Yet I knew that King’s Worcester was the right choice. What drew me here was more than its remarkable setting beside the Cathedral, more even than its long history of academic strength. It was the people. A school is defined by its pupils, staff and families, and I have already seen the warmth, ambition and spirit that make this community so special.

Change always brings both challenge and opportunity. My hope for every pupil is that they see each new year as a chance to push themselves, to discover new talents, and to grow in confidence and character. That sense of forward momentum – of always learning, always growing – is what makes King’s Worcester such an inspiring place to learn and to work.

I am proud to have chosen King’s Worcester as the place to take my own next step. And, I hope that many families will continue to choose King’s – a school that knows your child well, supports them fully, and prepares them for the wider world ahead.

It is a privilege to join this community, and I look forward to the years ahead: celebrating successes, facing challenges, and above all, seeing each of our pupils flourish.
