Hon OV’s Septuagenarian Celebrations

Former Head of Art, Liz Hand (Hon OV)celebrated her 70th birthday with an exhibition at the Spring Gallery in Cheltenham. The lovely space is owned and managed by OV Conrad Clarke (Ch 01-08 and Old St Alban’s). The abstract paintings were inspired by a visit to Varanasi in India; alighting from a boat and ascending the steep steps (ghats) to temples and settlements above.

Liz was delighted to welcome the following Hon OVs to the private viewing: Josh (Cl 91-01) and Lucinda Hand, current King’s Head of Art Chris Haywood, Rosie Ellender, Claire Horacek, Chris Gallentree-Smith, and Richard Gilbert. She was also thrilled to see OVs Georgie Sutherland (Cr 98-03) and Victoria Bentley (S 91-93). She received best wishes for the exhibition from Hon OVs Tim Keyes, Angela and John Walton, Jeni Timlin, and OV Alice Oxenham (Br 94-01). Liz will be part of the Somerset Arts Week Open Studios and Arts Events from 21 September – 6 October and would love to see Hon OVs and OVs there.
