At King’s Hawford Nursery we are extremely lucky to have a team of highly experienced nursery practitioners.

When a child starts at Kindergarten they are allocated a key person who acts as the main point of contact for the child and their parents. The relationship that builds between children and their Nursery Key Person is extremely special – it is generally the Key Person who forms the closest bond with the child and who parents can go to for advise. We are proud of our Key Person system and feel that in the first few days and even weeks of nursery it is key to helping children feel settled in their new surroundings.

The Key Person also provides on-going development support and familiarity for the child. The Key Person completes an on-going record of your child’s progress. This enables them to plan appropriate activities to meet the child’s needs. A learning journey documents observations and photographs of your child’s experience. Parents are able to view these at any time.
