Year 6: First Aid and CCF Adventure

Year 6 had a fantastic day taking part in a range of exciting and practical activities. In the morning, the children completed first aid training, where they learned valuable life-saving skills.

They practised CPR, learned how and when to call the emergency services through different real-life scenarios, applied bandages correctly and practised placing someone in the recovery position.

In the afternoon, the children enjoyed a series of CCF (Combined Cadet Force) team-building challenges. Working together, they solved missions, tried on the cadet vest and explored the equipment pack, learning about the essential items needed for different situations. One of the highlights was the camouflage challenge, where the children had to spot 21 hidden items without being seen themselves. They also took part in an exciting mission to collect hidden objects while remaining undetected, putting their teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills to the test.

The day was filled with enthusiasm, teamwork and resilience and the children thoroughly enjoyed developing new skills while taking on a variety of fun challenges.
