Bringing Music to Life at Symphony Hall
Our Year 3 and Year 4 pupils enjoyed a wonderful cultural experience this week as they travelled to Birmingham Symphony Hall to watch a special concert performed by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO). The visit offered pupils the chance to hear a live orchestra in one of the finest acoustic venues in the country.
During the performance, the CBSO musicians introduced the children to a range of orchestral pieces, instruments and musical ideas, helping to deepen their understanding of music beyond the classroom. The concert was specifically designed for primary audiences, making it engaging, interactive and inspiring.
The pupils represented the school brilliantly throughout the trip. Staff accompanying the groups commented on how captivated the children were by the scale of the orchestra and the atmosphere of the hall. Many pupils said it was their first time hearing live orchestral music, an experience they will not forget.
We are grateful to the CBSO for hosting such an accessible and educational concert and to all staff involved in organising the trip.
What a memorable afternoon of music for Years 3 and 4!
