Celebrating LAMDA at Hawford

It has been an incredibly busy and exciting few weeks for Hawford’s LAMDA students, who recently took part in two wonderful showcases ahead of their annual LAMDA examinations this week.

More than 60 children from Years 2–6 took to the stage to share their performances to parents and celebrate the hard work and dedication that has gone into their preparations.

Our children have worked exceptionally hard in the lead up to their examinations, and what an exciting atmosphere it has created. Countless hours have been spent rehearsing lines, refining performances, developing expression, and building confidence, all leading to these memorable moments. Their dedication and commitment have been clear to see throughout the process, and it was fantastic to watch that effort come to life on stage.

The showcases were filled with energy, enthusiasm, and a real sense of pride as pupils stepped into the spotlight. From our youngest performers in Year 2 to our more experienced Year 6 children, each one brought enthusiasm, determination, and individuality to their performance.

Standing in front of an audience and performing takes tremendous courage. It requires children to step outside of their comfort zones, trust in their preparation, express emotions with confidence, and put themselves in a position where all eyes are on them. That alone is an achievement worth celebrating.

Every performer achieved something truly significant. Whether it was their first solo performance or one of many, each child embodied so many of our Hawford values, showing bravery, resilience, and confidence throughout. Taking that step onto the stage and putting yourself out there is a huge accomplishment, and every child should feel incredibly proud of what they have achieved.

The past few weeks have reflected not only the excitement of the performances themselves, but also the wonderful support and encouragement shared between children. It was heart warming to see them celebrating one another’s successes and recognising the effort and commitment that everyone had invested.

We would like to congratulate all of our LAMDA children on their fantastic performances and wish them the very best following their examinations this week. Their hard work, courage, and dedication have been inspiring, and we are immensely proud of each and every one of them.
