Our children enjoy a variety of over 60 school clubs and activities. The majority of these occur after-school, with some, such as early morning swimming and Junior Choir taking place in the morning or at lunchtime. Most children stay after school to enjoy additional activities and to pursue further passions and hobbies.
Our programme offers a wide variety of choices so that there is likely to be something for everyone. The majority of our clubs are run by King’s Hawford staff, with a small number being provided by specialist external providers.
The clubs and activities offered change each term. The timetable is extensive and includes clubs such as karate, ballet, dance mix, Eco Club, chess, cookery, comic, computing, weaving, outward bound, gardening, dance mix, science, couch to 5km, Nature Detectives, String Group, Orchestra, and musical theatre. Sports on offer after school include athletics, rugby, football, hockey, netball, cricket, swimming, rounders, and tennis.
A full list club list can be provided on request either from the School Office or via our Registrar, Melanie Adams.
The school believes in giving children lots of opportunities to try out new things so the extra-curricular programme is extensive.
We have so many outdoor activities and opportunities like our outdoor and residential trips as well as our after-school clubs. I really like the Katakanus and the climbing wall.
