Celebrating Success as the year draws to a close

There was plenty of celebrating to be done in the final Assembly of the academic year…

Celebrating the achievements of Year Two (and Reception!)

  • Huge congratulations go to Amber and her younger brother Ivan on their terrific effort in the Race for Life.

Celebrating the achievements of Year Three

  • All of Year Three were congratulated by Mrs Clark on their amazing gymnastics ability.   You are a very talented group!

Year Four

  • Well done to Luca, Emily, Brody, George, Zara, Skye, Freddy, Albert, Georgia, Sophia, Marnie and Issy on the excellent Mr Men books they have written.
  • Charlotte put in a terrific performance at the Worcester County Open Meet, and was just three seconds away from a county time.
  • Zara, Marnie, Maddie and Skye were runners up in the Plate Competition at the U11 Saracens netball weekend, playing two years above their age.
  • Year Four took part in the first Worcester School Games Golf Competition recently, with Ivy, Will, Charlotte, Marnie, George, Skye, Louie, Tilly, Archie and Mark proving to be very adept young players

Year Five

  • Alice, Laura and Henry were congratulated on their superb work on rainforests.
  • Well done to Evie R on coming second in the 100m backstroke and third in the 50m breast stroke in the Worcester County Open Meet.
  • Monty has been named as Players’ Player and also Sponsors’ Player in both football and rugby this year.  Well done, Monty!
  • Helena certainly proved herself on the track at Sports Day this year, breaking the school records in the 80m, 200m and 600m.  What a fabulous achievement; well done Helena!

Year Six

  • The winners of the 2023 Marble Challenge, run annually by Mrs Ricketts during Science Week, were Ella, Erin and Izzy.  Well done, girls!
  • Congratulations, Eshal, on being named Player of the Festival at the IAPS cricket tournament.
  • Emily H was runner up in the U13 Saracens netball weekend tournament, playing two years above her age.
  • Oliver and Arthur put together a fantastic video of themselves singing Jerusalem on a bridge during their visit to the Old Chapel.

Drama Club

  • Mr Braithwaite congratulated all of Year Five Drama Club on a superb performance.

Summer Show

  • Well done to all who took part in this year’s Summer Show.  You were all amazing!

Times Tables

  • Well done to Zara, George C and Emily F on passing the Rainbow Challenge.  Well done also to the three Bronze Certificate winners, five Silver, eight Gold and one Platinum.

Music Certificates

  • Well done to the following on passing their music examinations:

    • Kasvika: piano prep test

What a brilliant year. Every week the whole community has enjoyed celebrating together the successes of the King’s St Alban’s community.
