Celebrating Success: Autumn Term Week 5

The Pre-Prep Hall appeared to be awash with sunshine today, as we celebrated another week of amazing achievements.  Staff and children were resplendent in yellow shirts, ribbons, socks, hats and even fairy wings as, along with schools, offices and communities across the UK, we took part in #HelloYellow to raise funds for the charity Young Minds.

Well done to Charlie, who is this week’s Super Star, thanks to his excellent attitude to all his learning.

An extra special Super Star award was presented to Miss Cartwright for completing her first marathon on Sunday!

Year 2:

This week’s Super Star award went to Alban, who has worked incredibly hard on his handwriting, and there was a certificate for independence for Zack.

Year 3:

Mrs Atkinson has been delighted with her class’s enthusiasm and focus this week, in particular Archie, Mia, Yifei, Madie and Emma, who all worked extremely hard and took great pride in the presentation of their maths work.

Well done to Florence on passing Grade 2 piano with Merit.

Huge congratulations to Sebastian who has successfully auditioned for a part with the English Touring Opera.

Times tables certificates:

Years 5 and 6 have been busy learning their times tables and it was fantastic to award 25 Bronze certificates this morning.  Well done, all of you!

Sport:

Well done to the U11 boys, who won all four of their rugby matches at Millfield.

It was great to see our Year 5 and 6 swimmers put on a very competitive display against King’s Hawford and RGS in the first gala we have been able to host for many months.  Congratulations to you all!

Our U9 boys and girls enjoyed their respective rugby and hockey festivals, with some very promising performances in both sports.

The U11 girls qualified for the semi-finals in the hockey festival at RGS, with super teamwork and concentration.

Well done to the 8 children who travelled to Abberley for the cross country competition, particularly Mea, who came 4th in the girls competition and Lex who came 8th in the boys race.

Lucia, Mia and Emily took part in the Worcester Open Meet, coming away with a very impressive array of medals.  Well done, girls.
