Hardy Pupils Embrace the Elements on Field Trip
On Thursday, Year Four had a fantastic field trip at Bishops Wood to further their study on the Vikings. Accompanied by Mr Stigant, Mr Cook and Mrs Cornish, pupils started the field trip by boarding the longboat in Scandinavia, setting sail for the British Isles. This activity tested Year Four’s coordination and teamwork skills, as they had to work together in conditions outside their comfort zone.
Despite the wet weather, the children enjoyed making their own clay pots, cooper brooches and shelters. While making the hunting shelters, all the children showed great teamwork, resilience and determination.
The children will be applying their new acquired knowledge and skills from the when they return to the classroom after the half-term break. Well done to all of Year Four: the teachers were incredibly impressed with your can-do attitude at all times during the field trip.
