Hawford Equestrian Team Shines at NSEA Competition
The King’s Hawford equestrian team achieved outstanding success at the NSEA competition held at Rectory Farm on Saturday 26th April, with a series of impressive individual and team performances that have secured multiple qualifications for Hickstead.
The day began with a strong showing from Freddie, who represented King’s Hawford for the very first time. Competing in the 40cm class, Freddie rode both Bluey and Jimmy with confidence and skill, finishing in the top 10 on both ponies. His excellent performance earned him a well-deserved qualification to ride Bluey at Hickstead—an exciting milestone and a fantastic start to his journey with the team.
Newcomer Georgie also made an impressive debut, competing in the 50cm class on her horse, Tomas. She delivered a composed and stylish round, finishing with just four faults. Her efforts were warmly welcomed by the team, and her debut was a proud moment for both Georgie and the school.
In the 60cm class, the team of Adelyn, Georgie, Maysie, and Chloe produced four superb clear rounds to secure first place and a team qualification for Hickstead. Rosie also rode strongly as an individual, contributing to a very successful event for King’s Hawford.
The competition continued with the 70cm class, a new challenge for the girls. Rising to the occasion, Rosie, Adelyn, Maysie, and Chloe delivered another exceptional performance, claiming another team win and securing a second Hickstead qualification. A special mention goes to Adelyn, who not only placed third individually but was also awarded the prestigious Horsemanship Award in recognition of her skill, determination, and sportsmanship.
The entire team displayed outstanding talent, effort, and unity throughout the day. King’s Hawford School is incredibly proud of their achievements, and the future of its equestrian team looks exceptionally bright.
