Year 6 make a big splash with an afternoon in the pool

On Wednesday all our Year 6 children spent the afternoon in the pool. We hosted an Inter-House Swimming Gala to kick start the afternoon with some friendly competition. The results ended up being so close, it came down to the very last race!

The results:

  • 1st Armstrong with 79 points
  • 2nd Wilson with 76 points
  • 3rd Bailey with 62 points
  • 4th Thomas with 53 points

The Year 6 Inter-House Swimming  Gala was followed by a water polo tournament for the second half of the afternoon. It was great to see how quickly our new children picked up the rules and how excited they all were taking part in the games.

The results:

  • 1st Wilson
  • 2nd Armstrong and Thomas
  • 3rd Bailey

Every pupil at King’s St Alban’s is encouraged to get involved and find their passion on the sports field. The range of sports at the school enables all pupils to find something which they really enjoy and in which they can do well. Games lessons in Pre-Prep offer an introduction to some of the sports in which our children will take part as they move up the school. Each lesson is designed to develop basic skills, talent and ability in a nurturing and fun environment.
