Celebration Assembly Kicks Off the Start of Term

For the first celebration assembly of this new school year, Mr Hawker spoke of the pride he has after seeing the enthusiasm and joy with which the children have returned, and how wonderful it has been to witness the laughter and energy of friends reuniting and the positive welcome he has witnessed for all our new pupils into the school community.

A special warm welcome was extended to our new Reception class, who are embarking on their school journey. Mr Hawker congratulated them for demonstrating courage and expressed how incredibly proud of them we all are.

Congratulations to Year 1, who have transitioned to a new year and are embracing the experience of having a new teacher for the first time. The enthusiasm, smiles, and positive energy in their classroom have been remarkable.

A big well done to Year 2 for their fantastic start to the year. Their confidence and excitement are evident, and we are proud of the strong beginning they’ve made.

Year 3 were celebrated for a successful adjustment to the prep school, there are so many exciting opportunities ahead for year 3 and Mr Hawker commented how impressed he had been with the Year 3 group during a recent games lesson at our playing fields.

Years 4, 5 & 6 were commended for the kindness shown both to Year 3 moving to Prep as well as the new pupils who have joined us across the year groups, Mr Hawker commented how lovely it was to see all children displaying this important value.

Crispin N Y6 was celebrated for passing Grade 1 singing with Distinction, many congratulations.

Bertie W Y4, eagerly shared the news that he had completed the Adam Petty swimming camp, sharing with everyone photographs from the day.

Bertie and Geoffrey W and Elodie and Theo H completed the Run Winchcombe 2024 family event, everyone was keen to see their medals and hear all about the cross-country running.
