Supporting Malvern St James Families

We are sorry to hear the news regarding Malvern St James School and recognise how difficult and unsettling this will be for its community.

The King’s Worcester Foundation wishes to offer a supportive and practical conversation to MSJ families who may be considering their next steps for September. Where appropriate, we would be happy to discuss potential places across our schools and to answer any questions.

Contact us confidentially to arrange a conversation.

Nutrition Workshop Reinforces Healthy Eating Topic

Year Three visited King’s Senior to take part in a healthy eating and nutrition workshop run by our caterers, Thomas Franks, this week. This was great for the children, as it revisited their “Healthy Eating” topic from the start of the year, and the children’s knowledge certainly did not disappoint!

Firstly, they were given a demonstration of how to make a flatbread; they then worked in pairs to make the dough and roll it out. Whilst the flatbreads were cooking, the children put their knife safety skills to the test to chop a variety of healthy ingredients including cucumber (a definite favourite!), tomatoes, yellow peppers, spring onions and lettuce. Once finely chopped, the children were then encouraged to be brave and add as many of the ingredients as they could, including hummus, to their flatbreads, whether they were favourites or not.

A great informative and skill-based afternoon was had by all. Thank you, Thomas Franks.
