KSA Musicians Hit the High Notes
We are incredibly proud of a number of young musicians at King’s St Alban’s, who have just gained excellent marks in their recent music exams.
In all, sixteen pupils from Year 2 to Year 6 took Associated Board or Music Teacher’s Board exams this term. They have worked hard all term to prepare for these exams, which challenge them to perform three pieces, as well as doing tests in sightreading, scales and aural. These are demanding exams and are a massively important part of musical development. Not only did everyone pass with flying colours, but five children gained merits and six were awarded a distinction. Huge congratulations must go to all the children: Emily (viola), Emma (viola), Theo (piano), Cerys (piano and flute), Daisy (singing and violin), Iris (singing), Max (piano and alto saxophone), Ariya (clarinet), Daniel (singing), Akshay (violin), Bertie (singing), Henrietta (cello) and Greta (violin).
Well done, everyone. You have worked incredibly hard and thoroughly deserve your success!
