Fun and friendship at Welcome Home Hawford
The highly anticipated ‘Welcome Home Hawford’ event took place to much excitement last week, with children, teachers and families from across the school joining together for an afternoon of fun.
The King’s Hawford Parents’ Association had arranged a fantastic arrange of activities to suit all ages, tastes and talents, from Tin Can Alley to bouncy castles and face painting. As ever, a trip on the canal in the Katakanus was popular with both children and adults, with the children keen to demonstrate their wonderful paddling skills.
The crowd was entertained by our resident DJ, Mr Roberts, while teachers and parents took charge of the sausages and burgers on the barbecue.
Thank you to all the families who joined in the Welcome Home Hawford fun. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together as a school community after the summer break, and certainly got the school year off to a spectacular start!
