Perfecting Proper Nouns in Year 5

Year 5 have been busy becoming grammar gurus this week as they explored the fascinating world of proper and common nouns and discovered just how important those capital letters can be!

To put their learning to the test, the children were set an exciting tarsia puzzle challenge. This tricky task required them to match definitions and examples to form a perfectly connected puzzle. It wasn’t easy, but with plenty of teamwork, focus and perseverance, each group rose to the challenge brilliantly.

By the end of the lesson, not only had every puzzle been successfully completed, but the classroom was buzzing with a real sense of achievement! Year 5 certainly proved that learning about nouns can be both challenging and great fun.
