Colourful Circus Creations in Year 3
Year 3 have been producing some wonderfully colourful circus clown artwork this week, and the results have been truly eye-catching. Using pastels, pupils explored how to use vibrant colours, bold shapes and strong contrasts to create striking images that really stand out.
They focused on filling the page, thinking carefully about composition and how to make their clowns look full of character and energy. The children experimented with blending and layering colours, learning how pastels can be used to create both bright highlights and deeper tones.
The classroom has been buzzing with creativity as each pupil developed their own unique design, and it has been fantastic to see their confidence grow as they worked. The finished pieces are bursting with colour and personality and make a brilliant display of Year 3’s artistic skills and imagination.
