Fifth Formers Teach German to Year 3 and 4

As part of the week of celebrations to mark the European Day of Languages, three Fifth Formers from King’s Worcester took the short trip over the road to King’s St Alban’s to deliver a fun German taster lesson to classes 3A and 4J.

Miss Ingram had already given the King’s St Alban’s pupils an Italian taster session earlier in the week, and they were excited to experience another language.

Alice W from School House, former King’s St Alban’s pupil, Adil R from Creighton, and Eva M from Chappel taught the pupils in 3A and 4J how to have a short conversation in German and also introduced the pupils to German numbers with some fun activities and even a rap!

Here is what our Fifth Formers had to say about the experience:

Alice: “I enjoyed my first teaching experience!”

Adil: “It was a pleasure to go back to St Albans.”

Eva: “It was a lot of fun teaching younger pupils how to have their first conversation in German.”

All the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience in what was a wonderful way for pupils from across the two Foundation schools to spend time together.
