Record Breaking Tenner Challenge Results Announced
Budding entrepreneurs at King’s Hawford have demonstrated creativity, teamwork and business flair during this year’s Tenner Challenge, with pupils transforming a modest £10 investment into impressive profits while raising funds for charity.
Over the course of four weeks, 20 teams made up of 60 children from Years 5 and 6 took part in the challenge, planning, producing, marketing and selling their own products across seven sales sessions.
In assembly, Mr Stigant recognised several teams for standout achievements:
Most Creative Sustainability: Rupert and Edward for their crisp packet key rings.
Best Tenner Challenge execution: Henry and Austin, for their excellent selection of raffle prizes from local companies.
Best food product: Gabe, Tilly and Thomas, for their home made biscuits and chocolate figures.
Overall runner up: Addie, Charlotte, Indie and Annie
Best Marketing and Overall winners: ‘Jaws’ – Jasper, Arthur and Will, making over £300 with their 3D printed range of products using sustainable grade plastic.
The overall amount raised was an astonishing £3002 – over £850 more than we’ve ever raised in the challenge! This will be split between Project Gambia, Breakthrough T1D, Coppafeel and Teenage Cancer Trust.
Thanks to everyone that took part including all those who bought products.
