King’s Hawford Celebrates European Day of Languages

King’s Hawford was filled with fun on Tuesday as pupils and staff celebrated European Day of Languages, as they dressed to represent countries from across Europe, creating a lively celebration of the continent’s languages, traditions and cultures.

A highlight of the day was the much-anticipated European Bake Off. Pupils gathered in their Houses to present an impressive selection of homemade bakes inspired by Europe. After some tough decisions, one finalist from each House made it through to the final, judged by Mr Butt and, joining us from the Senior School, Dr Coetzee!

The celebrations continued at break time, when the bakes were sold as part of a charity sale.

It was a brilliant day of fun, learning and community spirit, bringing the whole school together and encouraging pupils to celebrate cultural diversity and the many languages of Europe.
